About the Journal

Aims and Scope: 

The Proceedings of the Princess Galyani Vadhana Institute of Music International Symposium is a publication dedicated to exploring all aspects of classical music. It invites submissions across a broad spectrum of music-related research topics, including Performance Practice, Creative Practice, Innovation and Design, Interdisciplinary Studies, Learning and Teaching, Music and Society, Cultures, and Aesthetics, in line with each year’s theme.

Peer Review Process:

All abstracts/manuscripts submitted to the Proceedings of the Princess Galyani Vadhana Institute of Music International Symposium are initially assessed by the editorial team to determine their relevance to the symposium theme, academic quality, and suitability for publication in the proceedings. Submissions deemed suitable will proceed to the peer review stage.

Please note that submissions that do not conform to the submission guidelines may be returned to the authors for revision and resubmission before being considered for review.

Double-Blind Review:

The Proceedings of the Princess Galyani Vadhana Institute of Music International Symposium uses a double-blind peer review process. This means that the identities of authors and reviewers are concealed from one another throughout the review process. Submissions accepted for review are evaluated anonymously by at least two reviewers with relevant expertise.

A member of the editorial team manages the review process by forwarding reviewers’ comments to the authors, assessing the validity and quality of the reviews, considering the authors’ responses to reviewers’ feedback, and evaluating the quality of the revised submission, where revisions are required.

The final decision regarding acceptance or rejection for publication in the proceedings rests with the editorial team. The editors reserve the right to request further revisions or, where necessary, to send the revised submission for an additional round of peer review.
